University of Texas junior Matt Smith rocked his way to a new world record recently by scoring the highest full-song set-list score on “Rock Band 2.” The civil engineering student jammed to the entire 84 song set list on the drums for an incredible seven hours to smash the previous record. Smith’s 14,727,919 points handily beat the 10,687,033 score posted by gamer Robert Paz last May.
The Rock Band superstar said he practiced the video game for about 45 minutes a day starting last October when he decided to go for the title after picking up a copy of 2009’s Guinness Book of World Records.
Rock on, Matt, rock on.
