Study: Binge drinking does not impede test performance


For countless undergrads, college life outside the classroom consists of 45 percent drinking, 45 percent being hungover, and a measly 10 percent studying, but a new study says that all that boozing doesn’t affect a student’s test performance.
Researchers at the Boston University School of Public Health found that binge drinking the night before an exam does not influence a student’s grade. The study’s team was quick to point out that the research was not intended to encourage more boozing on campus and said the findings only apply to a single test and not overall academic ability.
