Every Wednesday is "Worst Wednesday" on the Leshock Value, where we have fun re-living society's mistakes. Gotta learn from them, right?

With all of the hoopla surrounding the disappointing box office performance of Dreamworks' "How To Train Your Dragon 3D," I thought it was time to put things in perspective. After all, how can a $40 million+ opening really be that bad?

In context with these duds, Dreamworks should be throwing a parade right now. Each of these movies opened in very wide release (3,000+ theaters). All of the figures come from the wonderful Box Office Mojo. I put them through the inflation calculator to see how much money they earned in today's world and re-sorted the list.

15. Cheaper By The Dozen 2 (12/21/2005) - $10.32 million adjusted

The sequel to the original Steve Martin mini-hit didn't make a huge splash opening weekend. The movie would hang around for a while, eventually collecting $82 million in total. Ask any of those audience members what this movie was about, and something tells me they'll have a hard time remembering.
