Glee tops The Beatles for most Billboard hits

Music purists may want to take a seat before reading on. Ready? The cast of Glee has broken the record for most songs on the Billboard Hot 100 by a non-solo act, surpassing The Beatles.
The fictional high school show choir’s 75 singles on the Hot 100 easily nabbed the title from the Fab Four who boast 71 chart-making hits. Only a handful of episodes into its second season, Glee will no doubt build on the record, likely challenging Elvis Presley and James Brown for most appearances on the chart by all artists.
The record doesn’t come without controversy though as all of the hit songs are covers of classic tracks by the likes of Journey, Queen, Lady Gaga, and other established music acts.
