Nurse Emma Marsden, 35, a resident of Cardiff, South Wales, posted saucy pictures of herself on escort websites under the name 'Lucy Love'. She offered 'men, women or couples' a 'unique and sincere girlfriend experience', the Daily Express reported.
The unmarried mother of three, however, claimed she was only investigating the job as a future career.
She now faces being struck off the rolls after a 10-year career which saw her rise to the position of staff nurse at the Whitchurch psychiatric hospital in Cardiff.
A nursing conduct committee was told by officials how her activities were discovered in 2008. The committee found four websites that she used to advertise her services.
Marsden resigned from her job after being pulled up in front of her bosses.
